Doug Woods is a dedicated artist with expertise in both traditional and commercial art. In his traditional work, he specializes in acrylic painting. He loves creating detailed portraits of people and pets, as well as vibrant still life pieces. Doug is all about pushing bold, dynamic colors and enjoys working in both a realistic, precise style and a more relaxed, textured approach. One of his favorite challenges is capturing the true likeness of his subjects and bringing out their unique personalities through his art.

Doug trained at Gemini School of Visual Arts and Communication, where he graduated with distinction. After graduating, he pursued his passion for commercial art, quickly establishing himself as a talented 3D artist and illustrator. Doug's expertise includes creating striking product packaging and advertising for major film, toy, and video game franchises like Star Wars, Transformers, and Call of Duty. His work in these industries honed his skills in color, composition, and creating visually captivating imagery—skills that he has seamlessly carried over into his traditional painting practice. Despite his success in commercial art, Doug’s love for traditional painting has remained a constant, and he has continued to create and deliver commissioned pieces throughout his career.

Originally from Austin, Texas, he now lives in Maitland, Florida with his wife and two kids, where he continues to fuel his passion for painting.
