COMMISSIONS

I take great pride in creating custom painting commissions that are as unique as the individuals they represent. Each project is a personal collaboration where I aim to truly understand the subject—whether it’s a portrait or still life—so that their personality and essence come through in the final piece. I strive to deliver a work of art that resonates with you and others. My simple, efficient process ensures that the entire experience is seamless and enjoyable, bringing your vision to life.

Commissioning a Painting Made Easy :

  1. Choose a Clear Photo: Select a photo you love, where the face is clear and in focus. I work only from photo references, and the better the quality, the better the painting. (Please avoid photos from professional photographers due to copyright restrictions.)
  2. For Non-Portraits: If you want a still life or another subject, we can work together to create a composition based on your vision. Once done, I’ll send it for your approval.
  3. Decide on Style, Size, and Timeline: Think about the size and style of the painting you want, and when you need it. Considering where you’ll display it will help with size selection.
  4. Contact Me: Feel free to email me with questions and your chosen photo. It will be necessary to confirm I can work from it. Extra reference photos are always helpful as well.
  5. Discuss Details: We’ll go over the painting details via email to ensure we’re on the same page.
  6. Quote and Contract: I’ll send a quote and a contract for us both to sign. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required through Venmo or PayPal before work is started (standard practice).
  7. Sketch Stage: I’ll send you a black-and-white pencil sketch of the painting.
  8. Progress Updates: I typically prefer to work through the entire process and share the completed piece once it's finished, rather than providing progress updates along the way.  But if you prefer, I can send one or two progress photos to ensure we’re on track.
  9. Final Review: When the painting is nearly done, I’ll send a final image for your review, where small changes can be made.
  10. Final Approval: I’ll send a final image for your approval before you make the final payment.
  11. Shipping: After full payment via Venmo or PayPal, I’ll carefully package and ship your painting with tracking and insurance, and I’ll email you the tracking number.

Things to Note :

The pieces will be unframed to reduce shipping costs as well as give you the opportunity to match the frame to the décor where it will be displayed.

I use professional acrylic paints and stretched canvases.

Commissions are completed in the order they are received, alongside my professional freelance digital illustration schedule. If you have a specific date in mind, it’s best to place your order early. Keep in mind that paintings take time for design, creation, packing, and shipping.

Pricing :

Each commission will be given a personalized quote based on factors like size, complexity, and specific requirements. Feel free to reach out for pricing based on your specific vision for your painting.

Shipping :

Shipping is free within the United States and the artwork is insured.  For more information on the shipping of your finished piece please feel free to contact me.

Refunds :

All sales are final and artwork is not returnable for a refund. These are custom pieces created specifically to your preferences. As such, if you're not fully satisfied, the artwork may not be easily resold to another customer.
The only exception lies in a shipment being damaged or lost. The full cost would be refunded in that case.
